First semester turnover climbs by 9%

Turnover for the first semester 2007 progressed by 9% over the first semester 2006, which grew by 3% over the same period in 2005. Growth occurred despite a sharp slow-down observed during the month of May, and was sustained primarily by Soft Computing’s Technology and Marketing Services Business Units, each growing between 11 and 12%.

Improvement in current operating results

Current operating results finished at €0.03 million verses a loss of €0.1 million during the first semester 2006. These results are due essentially to an improvement in sales prices and productivity, as well as having mastered internal structural costs.

Net results burdened by non-recurring costs

Non-recurring costs of around €0.7 million during the first semester weighed heavily on net results and profits. These costs are due partially to internal reorganization and partially to costs related to regrouping all Parisian operations onto a single site. Overall, in 2008 these costs should result in structural economies of scale and improved profitability.

A strong outlook

Soft Computing’s financial structure is comparable to that of 2006. Debt remains insignificant, liquid assets are worth over €2 million and client accounts remain stable.

A good start in the second semester

July 2007 showed healthy activity levels and actions taken during the first semester reorganization have begun to impact profitability for the second semester of this year.
